I needed to hear that...

A local friend who is also a FaceBook friend took one of those FaceBook quiz things, this one about "what is your theme song" and got a resulting song she was unfamiliar with but I know well - Natasha Bedingfield's "Unwritten".  I heard it on the radio the summer before D was conceived, and it quickly became one of my favorite songs. I hadn't listened to it in ages, but looked up the YouTube link to forward on to my friend and rewatched the music video for the first time in ages. I really like the video, and the song's lyrics really put my current situation in perspective, and the music is very uplifting to me (and makes me dance even when I don't really intend to, which is not a bad thing).  For those unfamiliar, here's the link:

That's a really great song. And something I can relate to right now... Thanks for sharing. :)

If you're willing to say, did it nudge you in the direction of a specific decision? If so, which?

I'm still feeling undecisive (which ranks in the top 5 most uncomfortable emotions for me). I've decided that I'm going to finish the application process and see what happens, and work on other stuff that has been "in waiting" almost as long in the meantime (as I mentioned when you were here, Serena, I'm gonna seek people to help with the kids during the day so I can see if I even have the support network in place to *consider* grad school realistically before the kids are all in full-time school). I've been working on the novel a bit lately (on my BlackBerry), one scene that I just started the other day is past 800 words, hoping to find more time to work on it shortly but trying to see if I can get WordPress to accept MMS posts for my writing website and that's distracting me (I did just figure out how to get my blog posts from here to show up in FaceBook as notes, happy about that. I think Twitters are now integrated into my FB profile too but not sure, they haven't shown up yet and I just tweaked a setting before sending another tweet a few minutes ago).

Bri, I thought you might like that song. Was that the first time you'd heard it?

Its the first time I'd *really* listened to it, but I think I've heard it before (but only maybe once or twice?). I wouldn't be surprised if I heard it at your house! One of the last times I was visiting you were playing a CD you burned yourself and several of the songs on it were songs I was not previously familiar with, but have become regular favorites of my (Baby Seat, being one. I *think* that's the name...)
